Can anyone help with this calculus 2 problem dealing with parametric equations? Its a long problem but if you can point me in the right direction that would be great! [: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B2VWVCVkn4wWbUNhYVlVSHhCZEU/view?usp=sharing

OpenStudy (theopenstudyowl):

Is this a related rates problem?

OpenStudy (theopenstudyowl):

I never studied Calculas 2, Just taken AP Calc AB, hopefully someone smarter can help sorry!

OpenStudy (misty1212):

hi!!

OpenStudy (misty1212):

no sure about all of these, but \[\frac{dy}{dx}=\frac{dy}{dt}/\frac{dx}{dt}\] for sure

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Vertical tangents occur when \(\dfrac{dx}{dy}=0\), horizontal tangents when \(\dfrac{dy}{dx}=0\).
