What do you think are the differences between popular music and other traditional music being composed in the twentieth and twenty-first centuries? Has this separation existed through other musical eras? Do you think one type of music, popular versus traditional, has more validity than the other?

The culture nowadays is using the exploitation of their youth to make money in the music business. They have pornographic lyrics, sexy costumes, it's disturbing for all the kids growing up to see people like Iggy Azalea trying to have the biggest butt and Lorde, singing about drugs and partying, ect. Kids don't know what they're meaning in their songs ! They just sing along and say whatever they say. Back when, even just a few decades ago, people didn't have to exploit themselves in a porno way to become popular and liked. They didn't have to have the biggest butt, sing the dirtiest lyrics, or try and make people physically stimulated in every song so people will listen. Now the new song's "I've gotta stay high all the time to keep from missing YOU". That's on the radio for all young people to hear and say, "Hey, she gets high to stop thinking about her ex so maybe I'll try that?"
