OpenStudy (anonymous):

What kind of essay you write??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If you start it with a question...Most people want to keep listening to find the answer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its based on the story far far away from the view of a ghost who watches over a kid

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well, a good hook captures the readers attention. It makes them want to read more and more of your essay/speech. So can you find (a) good sentence(s) that will make the reader want to read more of your essay/speech? :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thats what i want help with i am asking for that purpose not to answer my own question sorry :/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I can't help sorry :(

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its ok no worries

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this is my first few sentences here

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I guess I didn't understand what you wanted exactly. Explain again...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

My name is jacob grimm. i am a ghost that has yet to pass on from this world. i was a scholar many years ago and i with my brother wrote many fairy tales and acquitted them with a sheen of excitement and pizzazz added by the two of us. we also were to make a dictionary but both my brother and imy self had passed away we had only it to almost the end of the letter D. sad but true

OpenStudy (anonymous):

my goal is to make a first sentence or two that will attract attention and creat a desire to read the rest of the paragraph till i can show something else that will hook them in

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well, my go-to for attention catching is to start it with a question or two, you also can't forget your thesis statement. If you start it with a question it will urge the readers to continue, becuase they will want to find the answer and possibly your opinion.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What is the story of a dead man walking. is it for better or worse? I find my self asking this question in an attempt to decide what kind of after life or death i will lead.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

any input?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hmm... Okay. That is a good one, but, that sounds like an closing to a story. You could put that at the end. IF you were to start the story off with a question it would be something like 'Have you ever______? Or maybe you can say 'Imagine this' then tell the story.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i like option number two haha thanks

Your welcome! :)
