Which statement explains why daylight and darkness occur on Earth? A. The Earth rotates on its axis. B. The Sun rotates on its axis. C. The Earth’s axis is tilted. D. The Earth revolves around the Sun.
I think my option would have to be A because the earth rotates around the moon and sun that's why we have weather patterns and day light and night which is the moon so the answer is A.
|dw:1423165901161:dw| Earth's rotation on it's own axis will cause daylight and darkness as hick4life said. The position of the Sun is fixed, so when the Earth rotates, its surface that is facing the Sun will have a daylight while the opposite side will have the night.
