Question?
If y − 4 = 2x, which of the following sets represents possible inputs and outputs of the function, represented as ordered pairs? {(2, 1), (4, 2), (6, 3)} {(1, 2), (2, 4), (3, 6)} {(4, 0), (6, 1), (8, 2)} {(0, 4), (1, 6), (2, 8)}

For example let's try doing the 1st set {(2, 1), (4, 2), (6, 3)} ( 2 , 1) sub this into the equation: 1− 4 = 2(2) -3 = 4 are they equal ? no, so this set is not the right one (Choice A is eliminated) You can move on to the second choice : {(1, 2), (2, 4), (3, 6)} try substituting some points and tell if all the points satisfy the equation like I did above That's from yesterday.
Yep But the one you said was it was actually wrong on my quiz.
Choice C {(4, 0), (6, 1), (8, 2)} let's check y − 4 = 2x } (4,0) 0-4 = 2(4) -4 = 8 -> not equal, so this is not the one
oh ok
now you're left with B and C
**D not C
its not b
ok I still son't get it.
@Data_LG2 ??? you there
let's test it: {(1, 2), (2, 4), (3, 6)} }(1,2) y − 4 = 2x 2-4= 2(1) -2 = 2 are they equal?
no
okay, so now can you do D and let's check if that one is right
show me how you do it
@Data_LG2 0-4=4 2*4=8 4=8 no
