Look at the picture I've posted. It's a picture of an atom. The NUCLEUS is the CENTER of the atom. You see the BLUE and RED dots in the CENTER of the atom? This are PROTONS and NEUTRONS. The BLACK dots around the nucleus are ELECTRONS. They are NOT part of the nucleus.
