Oh I am so lost... please help.. 3. The same wax will be used to make each candle, and it costs 3/4 of a penny per cubic centimeter. Write polynomial functions to show the cost of the wax that is used for making each candle for different values of x. Graph the functions. Discuss the costs.

is this the one? @Maddy1251 so yeah, can I see the previous questions before this question because they seem related to each other

maybe we can use some of the info from the previous questions to solve this one

You work for the BeeSwaks Candle Company and have been asked to update two of the company’s earliest candle designs, the Brick and the Egyptian. The original Brick was a cube 8 centimeters on a side. The original Egyptian was a pyramid 21 centimeters tall with a square base 10 centimeters on a side. Improvements in the manufacturing process have made it possible to change the design of these candles for a fresh new look and improved profit. You have been asked to work within the following guidelines: Name The Brick The Egyptian Shape rectangular prism right square pyramid Base dimensions can vary, but it must be a square same dimensions as base of the Brick Height 1 cm less than the side length of the base 21 cm 1. Create a labeled diagram of the Brick. Use x to represent the length of a side of the base of the candle. Then write an equation for the volume of the candle in terms of x. Write the polynomial in standard form. ( I have V=x^³-x^²) 2. 2. Create a labeled diagram of the Egyptian. Use x to represent the length of a side of the base of the candle. Then write an equation for the volume of the candle in terms of x. Write the polynomial in standard form ( I have V= 1/3x^2+7x) Now I think I understand it now... so for number 3, you are looking for the polynomial function that represents cost of each candle.. It says "it costs 3/4 of a penny per cubic centimeter." So we have to multiply the given cost to each function. For the Brick: 0.75 ( x³-x² ) For the Egyptian: 0.75( 1/3x^2+7x) Simplify each function then you can graph it using a graphing technology and from that you can easily describe the costs of each candle. Not 100% sure about it, but that's how I understand the problem. Sorry if I tool so long to respond, I had an online class.
