Put the parentheses around the 2 + 4. So you would have this: 15-5 + 7 (2+4) Since you start with parentheses first you have 2+ 4 = 6 Next you multiply. So 7 times 6 is 42 Then working from left to right, you subtract 5 from 15 and get 10 Then add 10 to 42 to get 52.
