In which of the following areas was Taft less progressive than Roosevelt? supporting labor unions breaking up monopolies filing anti-trust lawsuits regulating railroads

eclipsedstar (eclipsedstar):

Do you have any ideas so far? :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

maybe breaking up monopolies?

eclipsedstar (eclipsedstar):

That would be incorrect, Taft was actually well-known for breaking up monopolies, that was why Roosevelt appointed Taft in the first place.

eclipsedstar (eclipsedstar):

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Howard_Taft here it mentions that Taft actually vetoed Congress's attempts to make labor unions...

eclipsedstar (eclipsedstar):

...while Roosevelt openly supported Labor Unions.

eclipsedstar (eclipsedstar):

So this shows that Taft disliked supporting labor unions. He was less progressive in that matter.

eclipsedstar (eclipsedstar):

Hope I helped! :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks so much

eclipsedstar (eclipsedstar):
