good, ok so now, we have a formula for rate of change, (it's the same as slope) Do you know the slope formula?

ok, it's no problem, so the slope formula is \[m=\frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}\]
m, is the slope or rate of change
x and y are just coordinates
