We can substitute. Plug in '6x - 11' for 'y' in the 2nd equation: -2x - 3y = -7 -2x - 3(6x - 11) = -7 Distribute -3 into the parenthesis: -2x - 18x + 33 = -7 Combine like terms: -20x + 33 = -7 Subtract 33 to both sides, what's -7 - 33? @claudee_

so what you want to do is use the substitution method. you already have an equation for y, so substitute that equation in for y|dw:1423230319513:dw|
