A doctor whose father works as a janitor would be an example of _____. a. Horizontal mobility b. Vertical mobility c. Intergenerational mobility d. Parallel mobility

OpenStudy (paki):

what yuo guess here?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well Horizontal would mean everyone is the same, but because its a kid who became a doctor my guess would be Vertical.

OpenStudy (paki):

nope... :) "Horizontal mobility: movement within a social class or stratum. Vertical mobility: movement between social classes or strata. Intergenerational mobility: status differences between generations in the same family."

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well thinking the kid became high class by becoming a doctor, would bean he moved between classes. No?

OpenStudy (paki):

no
