How about just put a stop. Ban their accounts instead of not allowing them to not make one.

from ISURU and math&ing I've heard that the tagging does work
even though it might not turn blue

The only way I found that I could fan them is while they are typing I can click their name and fan them then.

Andif they post a question, I can fan them from the side.

have you tried Right clicking their picture (from comments or whatever)

Yes tagging @math&ing001 does work. Except for us it don't turn blue, but he gets the notifications.

Well the point is that new users will be mystified and confused why they can't tag their helper and why their username is Huge or colorful, etc.
