since there is an even number of negative values, it is positive.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
thank you can you help with more?
pooja195 (pooja195):
its an odd number
OpenStudy (anonymous):
(something)(-something) = - something
now you have - something
(-something)(-something) = + something
now we have + something
(+something)(-something) = - something
but you can also see the odd number of negative signs so it'll be negative
OpenStudy (yanasidlinskiy):
Which one do you think it is? I also do go over this in my tutorial. It should help.

What is the value of the expression when p = –16 and q = 4?
4p
_____
q
OpenStudy (anonymous):
16?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
\[\frac{ 4(-16) }{ 4 } = ?\]
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Try again, what's missing here?
OpenStudy (yanasidlinskiy):
\(\huge\frac{ 4(-16) }{ 4 } = ?\)
You're supposed to multiple -16(4)
Once you get that, divide your answer by 4.
