Did Adam and Eve have belly buttons?

OpenStudy (neonumbrella5115):

Theoretically, they wouldn't have belly buttons because they never were in a womb. (Adam was created and Eve created from Adams rib) But, some people argue that since they were a "prototype" they would have belly buttons.

OpenStudy (spudmushie123):

You have to remember that it is likely that Adam and Eve didn't actually exist, and are just a story to explain things in Christian history. The real first humans, however, would have had them, seeing as they evolved from monkeys, who have belly buttons. So yes, and no.

OpenStudy (neonumbrella5115):

@spudmushie123 Yes, that's also true. Check out this website for more information: http://christiananswers.net/q-aig/bellybutton.html

We didn't evolve from monkeys lol.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Its a theory

OpenStudy (spudmushie123):

@MasterprojectHD Actually, it isn't just a theory. There is actual DNA evidence to support the fact that apes and humans share common ancestors. So, we evolved from the same species, meaning we are very much related. Good point though. @neonumbrella5115

OpenStudy (neonumbrella5115):

@MasterprojectHD @spudmushie123 When Darwin was first looking at that theory it was just a theory. However, now as mushie said, there is DNA evidence.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

We have SIMILAR DNA/RELATIONS but there is no actual proof that we evolve from apes. As of the term or belief in 'evolution' it is seen as a theory of science. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying things don't evolve, but according to humans there is no real proof that we evolved from apes lol. Now a question to really think about is if we evolved from apes why are the apes still here.

OpenStudy (neonumbrella5115):

@MasterprojectHD Actually, this is a good question. I think it might be a case like Homo Sapiens and Neanderthals. (Not sure if I spelled that right ;) ) The way they were related, but different. And how eventually Neanderthals died out.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Haha Right.

OpenStudy (spudmushie123):

I think that all of us are right, we are just talking about different questions :) @neonumbrella5115 @MasterprojectHD

OpenStudy (neonumbrella5115):

Yeah, you're probably right....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Haha yes. @neonumbrella5115 @spudmushie123 Nice talking with you all.

OpenStudy (neonumbrella5115):

You too! @spudmushie123 @MasterprojectHD

OpenStudy (spudmushie123):

:)
