What was the strange thing that inventor noticed as they were trying to improve the telegraph? Sounds only went through when the wires were connected. Signals were picked up by wires that were far apart. Signals were going through the air to other wires. Sounds were going to other things besides wire. @EclipsedStar

I'll do the best I can. I know it isn't D because say cardboard, you can't hear through that. Prob not A because they knew that wires had to be connected to receive signal. Don't think it's C because you can transfer wires to air and back to wire. So maybe B?
