@1213106 The question does not make any sense. There is no group of mushrooms that contain such a significant percentage of the edible mushrooms to make such a statement. What was the supposed answer? I am a Mycologist, by the way. What every one has posted is 100%. The only groups we consider mushroom forming fungi are members of Dikarya, the Basidiomycota and Ascomycota. Of course, they contain all the mushrooms, the safe and the toxic. Most of the fungi we eat are in the Basidiomycota though. However, it contains many more fungi that are not safe and have a higher chance of being eaten than the poisonous ascomycetes.
