During the next few hundred years, the European countries took control of trade and influenced much of Asian history. While some colonies were overturned over time, the majority gained their independence following World War II due to Japanese invasion. It is C, I lived in Indonesia, which is in southeast. They gained independence from the Japanese from the treaties, I learned that from school there.
