The frequency, or wavelength. When a sound is produced its wavelength will approach you at different frequencies. if you're far away, then you won't hear the sound as well because its wavelength won't be "hitting" you as frequently. If you're close, then you will be "hit" by the sound wave more frequently. |dw:1423338272492:dw|
