Can someone help me know what hierarchical organization of life is?
To understand what "hierarchical organization" , you need to first understand the meaning of the individual words. The key word is "Hierarchical" which is derived from the word "hierarchy". A hierarchy is basically the ranking of people or groups by their "status" or authority in society. For example, the ancient Egyptians used a social hierarchy. The slaves, laborers, and peasants were ranked last. Above them were the craftsmen. Then came the officials and scribes. After them were the high priests and nobles. This cycle of "ranking" from bottom to top continues until we get to the very top of the hierarchy where the Pharaoh is. Now let's talk about organization. Organization can be defined as "an organized body of people with a particular purpose, especially a business, society, association, etc." Since we've defined both words, let's find an example of a modern hierarchy. A very common modern hierarchy is found in the military organization because you have the rankings from the private (lowest ranking) to the General of the Army (highest ranking). I hope this helped!
