On May 8,2010, a team of kayakers set a record time of 5 hr 19 min and 17 sec to kayak across the length of the Loch Ness, Scottland, a distance of 20.5mi. If the kayakers were four times as far from the starting point as from the finish, how many miles had they traveled? Will give medal!!!!!

don't you just multiply 20.5 by 4?
The answer is in the back of the book and it says the answer is 16.4miles but i dont know how they got that
and it doesn't explain?
