what is the formula to use to find speed, given only distance. for example look at this problem a falconer places bird on a perch 1m off the ground. the falconer then walks 6m away and throws a practice target 6m straight up in the air at which it reaches its maximum height and starts to fall now I have many things to find. if the falconer is 1.6 m tall, how fast did he initially threw the target in the upright direction? 1. what is the formula to use in here? 2. >>> and what formula to use if the target is falling down and the bird is trying to catch it, how fast must it go to catch it?
