@pooja195
OpenStudy (shrutipande9):
can u first tell me...do u know whether the RNApol sits on the sense strand or the antisense strand and reads the bases?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
anti
OpenStudy (shrutipande9):
correct...so the mrna sequence formed is going to be complementary to the antisense strand correct?

yea
OpenStudy (shrutipande9):
so now according to the base pairing rule...
wherever there is C the complimentary base is G
for G it is C
for A instead of T it is going to be U (because in rna T is replaced by U)
and for T is is A
OpenStudy (shrutipande9):
cn u guess the sequence now?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Its not C
OpenStudy (anonymous):
or D

So its either A or B
OpenStudy (shrutipande9):
nope...tell me the sequence..first nucleotide on antisense is A..so what would be complimentary to that in mRNA?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
U
OpenStudy (shrutipande9):
next...for T?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
A
