Beautiful Sorrow


There are times in our lives where we find ourselves,
staring.
Like a blankless wonder,
the one that you seek?
Or the muse of a canvas?
But what we see is always blind.
There's a little bit of everything
while feeling like nothing.
A trickle in the sink.
Is all you'll ever be.
A feeling as real as the messed up painting
in which you speak.
But like priceless jewels
you somehow feel like an item for strangers
to keep.
