Simplify 5(R + 2) - 6. 5R + 4 5R - 4 5R - 6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So what you want to do is use the distributive property and then combine like terms to get your answer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

idk, im not good with math

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So what you'd do is multiply 5(r)+5(2) -6 because 5(r+2) is telling you to multiply both terms by 5 then after you distributed you'd get 5r+10-6, so you'd subtract 10-6 and get a final anser of 5r+4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

does that help?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes, that actually helped. thank you.

you're welcome
