A poem of sadness.....

The Tears No One Heard
Her tears fall, winding their path down her cheek
Gently the fall into her lap, yet not a sound can be heard
She sits in darkness hidden from sight
As tears left streaks on her face that night
They are the tears no one heard

Who heard her tears? Not father nor mother
Darkness heard her tears and tried to ease the pain
Nothing however could be done, to comfort the little one
The tears salt burns her eyes
They are the tears no one heard

She longs for her mother's warm embrace
Off to her mother's room in hopes she might ease the pain
No such thing , she gets only rejection for her sorrow
Her sadness threatens to overwhelm her
Yet, there is no one to ease her pain
To hold her in a warm embrace
To tell her everything is okay
Tears fall down her face wetting her nightgown
They are the tears no one heard.
