Can someone please help me I have to finish today. veronica teaches French in groups of four students. She rents a room for $200 per month. She charges $45 per hour per student. Veronica teaches seven groups of students, and her net earnings per month are $6,100. Part A: If each student learns French for the same number of hours, write an equation that can be used to calculate the number of hours each student learns French in a month. (5 points) Part B: How many hours did each student learn French each month? Show your work and justify each step of your work

Sorry. I went away from the computer for few minutes. On to this problem. We know she charge each student 45 dollar per hour and her net earnings are 6,100 per month. However, she rents a room for $ 200 per month. So we need calculated what her total income is before she pays the rent for the room. Her total income will be 6100 + 200 = 6300 Now we know the total income. Base on her 45 per hour we can write an equation that shows such relationship. Dollar = (dollar/hour)(hour). 6300 = 45h where h is hours. You can use any variable you like, it doesn't have to be h. Solving for h will give you the amount of hours for all 7 students. The to find hours for each student you will take h/7 and that will give you the total hours for each student.

Its ok :) so for A the equation would be 6100+200=6300? And for B all you have to do is 45/7 for the total hours for each student?

OpenStudy (snowsurf):

No. First you solve for h from the equation. Once you find h then you take that number and divide it by 7.
