Acceleration question can someone tell me what dos this arrow in this picture means? thanks
hi i asked the same question in the math area and i came up with this "If the object is slowing down then its acceleration vector is directed in the opposite direction as its motion "
The motion in each of those diagrams is from "Left to right". Each image of the ball is at some interval of time later. Each interval is the same. The arrow for each of those pictures tells you in which direction is the positive. It is not a vector as stated above. It tells you the sign that your acceleration will be.
They just tell you in what direction is positive.
so the ball is slowing down to the negative side, so the opposite must be positive ight?
i meant the acceleration vector must be opposite of its motion vector so in this case positive?
i forgot to say that im talking about letter C
