Just a couple of suggestions...

1, All of these ambassadors who go online should be in the helping sections helping other people. Before we need ideas on how to fix openstudy, we need to do what it was made for. The ambis shouldn't be hanging out in the OpenStudy Feedback section.

2, People shouldn't stop helping people when they get a 99 SS, they can just make a new account.

3, we shouldn't add special 'payable' features (as @sleepyhead314 suggested). Subscribing OS should be enough. Paying for features will make OS sound 'desperate' for money.

I diagree with both ambi's are people they like to hangout just as normal users do and as for people with 99 they all help people lot at satellite or dan and abhisar there are many more

For payable features, they need this to actually update the hardware, which cost some good amount of money sometimes, and get other stuff to improve the site.

Some people think $10 a month is insane, so they won't pay it. Not many users have this subscription for that reason.

The thing about making payable features is yes, OpenStudy is desperate for money :P
and adding features to the payable/subscription list would get more people to subscribe.

as for why I personally haven't been helping a lot of other people like I had in my active days is because I have school, a job, and a tight schedule where I can only pop in and out onto openstudy in my 5 minute breaks but don't have the luxury of time to help and interact with askers on their questions (which is why I have stuck to openstudy feedback questions since they don't really require the back and forth explaining time)

another thing is that when I go online on my 99 people ask me for help on lots of questions I don't know, and it makes me feel bad that I can't help them. and I feel like it would make a bad impression if a supposed model helper can't help them with simple history or biology

We're giving free help, it's volunteer, so I don't agree with you with most of what you said, let people do what they want. And Preetha can do what ever she likes with the site, she gave us a service that provides free help, not like that's going to stop.

Ambassadors jobs are to welcome new users and for user retention, so they have to show that the people here are nice and so that way they will stay :D

Also, when someone in the chat asks for help, the ambassador always goes and and helps them out. And 99ers stop helping people after 99SS. Eh, there are only a few users who went inactive or either they only come to chat once they become 99SS. But most of the 99ers are helpful, and maybe even are active in chats.
