y = kx is the constant of variation.. Plug in 'y' and 'x': 9 = 5k Now divide 5 to both sides.
So 9 divided by 5 and 5 divided by 5?
Yes, but we don't really have to do '5 divided by 5' because it cancels out just leaving us with 'k' So just divide 9 / 5.
