PLEASE HELP ME Explain the difference between a relation and a function. Can something be a function and not a relation? Can something be a relation and not a function?
explain @roses_red
that was from my homework I typed it front
Basically, a relation: x's can have multiple y values Function: For each x, there is only one y.
Can something be a function and not a relation? Can something be a relation and not a function? @Fzxt
No to the first question, Yes to the second one.
I would look this up it is on googel for sure :)
Wait sorry, it's No to the second one for hte other question. And yes that looks good
I'd reword "ordered pairs", that doesn't sound right.
I'd say "a relation is a siet in which each x element can have multiple y values associated with it"
@Fzxt
yeah thats fine.
ok thanks sorry to keep tagging you
@Fzxt sorry last time I go confused reading it over you said what for this: Can something be a function and not a relation? Can something be a relation and not a function?
Can something be a function and not a relation? No. All functions are relations. Can something be a relation and not a function? Yes, this is true. If a relation has an x that points to more than y, it is NOT a function.
thanks !
