Yep, I submitted that answer. It was correct, but not entirely sure how to get there.

The way I did it is first find the scaling factor such that c|AB|=500. Then project AB onto AC. Finally, find the magnitude of the projection and multiply by the scaling factor.

BTW, the note on the bottom of the page is absolutely obnoxious. I get to choose how to do the math and you must give me marks if my answer is correct.
