OpenStudy (vera_ewing):

In which unit is the wavelength of an electromagnetic wave commonly measured? A. s^–1 B. kg C. nm D. J

OpenStudy (abb0t):

E = hv = h\(\sf \frac{c}{\lambda}\) where c = speed of light, and is measured in m/s, so if you need to cancel meters, what must wavelength be?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol look at this link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wavelength

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i guess so

OpenStudy (vera_ewing):

@aaronq the answer is A right?

OpenStudy (aaronq):

wavelength is a distance, therefore it needs to have units of distance. Only one of the options has units of distance

OpenStudy (vera_ewing):

ohhh C right?

OpenStudy (aaronq):

im not supposed to be giving you answers :S
