Given that sec t=4 and the terminal point of t is in the first quadrant, find sin t. Can someone help out? I have no idea how to work this.

OpenStudy (thomas5267):

sec(t)=4 implies cos(t)=1/4. Draw a right-angle triangle which has 1 on the adjacent side and 4 on hypotenuse (as cos(t) is adjacent/hypotenuse). Use Pythagoras to solve for the other side and find sin(t).
