Can someone help me with geometry please?

Wow! That looks pretty.
:) Thanks
spent hours making it
If you guys could help me, that would be so amazing!! i need a better grade for geometry
but if you could help me, can you show me how to do the problem??
Just set the equations equal to each other. Since they triangles are congruent, the sides are also conruent.
*congruent
what do you mean by that sleepyjess??
2x - 3 = x + 6
so i would add six to each side?
either subtract 6, or add 3
so it would be 2x=x+9??
Yes, then subtract x from both sides
so 2=9? kinda confused
wait no
what is 2x - x?
1x
yep, so x = 9
ohh okay
would you mind helping me with another one?
sure :)
just the last one on the exam?
exam?
well flvs assignment lol they label them as exams
oh ok, I understand :)
its what you do after you complete going through a lesson
yep :)
I also do FLVS, so I know how it is
yeah its easier to do it online instead of school because you can go to so many more resources
yep :)
thank you so much for helping me @sleepyjess
Not a problem :) You familiar with the distance formula?
not really... i may have seen it before but its not coming to me at the moment
ok \(\sf\sqrt{(x_2-x_1)^2+(y_2-y_1)^2}\)
okay so what should i apply it to the equation?
to the problem**
Just do the corresponding sides, DA goes to EH, AB to EF, BC to FG, CD to GH
ohh okay i think i see what youre saying
Just plug in the points from each line segment into the formula and see if it equals the corresponding side on the other figure.
since its asking for a rigid motion isnt that rotations of 90 and 180 degrees or am i thinking of the wrong thing?
I think it means things such as 90 degree rotation about the origin.
yeah because it looks like it was rotated 180 degrees
but i may be wrong
and they are both congruent
I agree with you on 180 degrees about the origin
okay so should i put rotated 180 degrees about the origin and they are congruent??
yep :)
thank you so much!!!!!

Fanned you!!
Thanks :) and you can let the person that helped you the most know by clicking Best Response
awesome thank you so much hope to get help from you again soon!!
Just tag me and I will come asap :) if you don't know how to tag, just put @sleepyjess
yeah i figured that out quite quickly lol its like educational twitter lol
haha yep
and if you have any questions about the site, feel free to ask :)
lol yeah just a quick question... where do i go to find biology homework help?
Just click \({\href{http:///openstudy.com/study#/groups/Biology}{\bf \color{red}{here}}}\)
oh i found it!
btw to shorten links, you should try bitly.com/shorten
it'll make this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GOTk0-Q6tHU Look like this: http://bit.ly/1xCaIKh
same link, same place, just short and sweet lol
haha
