Nick hypothesizes that wax has a higher melting point than chocolate. How can Nick test his hypothesis? Heat samples of wax and chocolate and use a stopwatch to time how long it takes until they start to melt. Heat equal masses of wax and chocolate and measure their temperatures when they start to melt. Measure the volume and weight of samples of wax and chocolate and calculate their densities. Use Mohs Hardness Scale to test how easily wax and chocolate can be scratched.
Explain each answer first!
OK I`ll try.. ;-; sorry I feel like I am not really smart enough to say anything right... :( I explain..
Don't worry, you're not suppose to know everything if you're taking a class for it.
If it helps, you can google some of the terms, like "Moh Hardness Scale".
I think that A.Heat samples of wax and chocolate and use a stopwatch to time how long it takes until they start to melt. Would be the right answer because it says here "Nick hypothesizes that wax has a higher melting point than chocolate. How can Nick test his hypothesis?" He should time it to see if the wax has a higher melting point then the chocolate.
Is A the right answer?
Just look up the definitions of higher melting point and heat, alrighty?
