What point of view should an argument essay be told from? Please help, will fan and medal.

OpenStudy (inexilewetrust):

When you write an essay on a certain argument, it is important to keep it unbiased. When you write biased points (such as opinions) your argument loses credibility. It is important to yes, defend a side but try to keep it unbiased. Not sure if that helps, but I did my best!

OpenStudy (palindromeman):

is this for a test/homework or do you need to know because you are writing an essay

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I'm writing an essay for school. @Palindromeman

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So basically their is no point of view? @InExileWeTrust

OpenStudy (palindromeman):

Well, unless if its a persuasive essay, they should all be 3rd person really. If you were to do persuasive you could make it first POV (depends on the teacher though as well)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ah, so write in third for argumentative?

OpenStudy (inexilewetrust):

No, there is a POV but you need to keep an unbiased POV. Sort of like a judge doesn't put in personal opinions and feelings when deciding a charge. @Palindromeman good point. Couldn't have said it better myself.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh okay

OpenStudy (palindromeman):

Yes, if you were arguing a point, it should generally be 3rd.
