OpenStudy (zzelinski):

what was it like to be alive during the time of hammurabi's code?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

scary, wet, cold, damp

OpenStudy (zzelinski):

how so @kymath1234 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

would you like to live in a time known for the phrase "an eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth"? although it sounds harsh to us, Hammurabi's code actually set boundaries and helped people feel secure. It was definitely a better option than when people relied on the opinion of authorities and monarchs. How does having your fate in the hands of a third person party sound? hope this helps :)

OpenStudy (zzelinski):

Thank you so much @angelangie
