HELP PLEASE! What is a thesis statement?

A thesis statement hooks a reader. So add a fact or two but dont explain it to hook a reader. To make them want to read more. Explain the rest in a middle paragraph.

I think were getting to a point here, so it is an essay or text that is a piece of writing that intends to make a single point. That point becomes the basis of your thesis statement.
