I would think that Median would be the best choice since it doesnt depend on a interval scale.

sure, mode is the best for categorical data. 

when you have quantitative data you need mean or median. 

the outlier of 0 will have a signficant effect on the mean... it drags it down from the true middle.. 

to check find the mean of the data with 0 and 9 scores then the mean without zero and 8 scores... 

because 0 has a negative influence... the physical middle, median, is the best measure in this question. 

mean is best when the data is condensed and outliers don't exist.
