OpenStudy (sissyedgar):

Which best describes the function of the cell wall in cells? A. maintains the cell's nuclear structure B. moves materials within the cell C. supports the frame of a cell D. modifies sugar into usable energy

OpenStudy (sissyedgar):

@Luigi0210

OpenStudy (sissyedgar):

@Daniellelovee

OpenStudy (daniellelovee):

which one do you think it is?

OpenStudy (sissyedgar):

uhh, i have no idea!

OpenStudy (sissyedgar):

@ribhu

OpenStudy (ribhu):

its c supports the cell structure

OpenStudy (sissyedgar):

ty!

OpenStudy (ribhu):

i think i am sure @sissyedgar

OpenStudy (ribhu):

would u be doing maths @sissyedgar ?

OpenStudy (sissyedgar):

not rn.. but thx

OpenStudy (sissyedgar):

What is the function of the vacuole in a cell? A. It provides cellular support and protection. B. It controls the water content of the cell. C. It transfers light energy into chemical energy. D. It breaks down cellular waste.

OpenStudy (sissyedgar):

ur late Luigi! :P

OpenStudy (sissyedgar):

at least 4 the 1st one!

OpenStudy (luigi0210):

Sorry, too tired, have other things to do, forgot what I was even doing.. good luck >.<

OpenStudy (sissyedgar):

... tht was "helpful" :P

OpenStudy (somy):

what does vacuole contain?

OpenStudy (sissyedgar):

D.?

OpenStudy (somy):

are you sure? do you know about organelle called 'lysosome' ?

OpenStudy (sissyedgar):

yes, but i forgot wat it means!

OpenStudy (somy):

lysosome - an organelle in the cytoplasm of eukaryotic cells containing degradative enzymes enclosed in a membrane. degradative - means breaking down

OpenStudy (sissyedgar):

so not D.

OpenStudy (sissyedgar):

but luk... https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#q=vacuole+function

OpenStudy (ribhu):

i think it should be B

OpenStudy (somy):

" contain cellular waste and to isolate materials that may be harmful to the cell. "

OpenStudy (somy):

it doesnt say break down it says contain

OpenStudy (sissyedgar):

ooo, ok so B. is correct!

OpenStudy (somy):

remember one more thing its only 'some' plant cells have lysosome vacuole does take part in breaking down of waste BUT it just gets the waste inside and lest hydrolitic enzymes to get inside the vacuole and thus allowing the degredation to take place

OpenStudy (somy):

lets*

OpenStudy (sissyedgar):

What are the products of mitosis in animals? A. several identical gametes B. sperm and egg cells C. four identical daughter cells D. two identical daughter cells D.?

OpenStudy (sissyedgar):

r u here?

OpenStudy (butterflydreamer):

D would be correct because mitosis results in two identical daughter cells whereas meiosis would result in four .
