Identify the coordinates of point A after a 180° rotation about the origin. http://i57.tinypic.com/2cgdcpk.jpg
If it's rotated 180 degrees, it's going to be reflected essentially. Do you know how to do that?
Yes, is the answer A’ = (–2, –1) ?
someone please help??
Relax, relaaaax, let me take another look :)
So if you want to reflect something, you're going to do it like this
If B is one unit above the origin, you have to move it one unit below the origin. You do that for all of them. This is what it will look like rotated 180 degrees
That helped, thank you!! I have another question, can you help me with that one too?
Sure, I can
Did you choose the right answer choice?
I did )
Pentagon JKLMN was translated as shown. Point P is in the interior of the pre-image while its corresponding point P' is in the translated image. Which of the following statements is true about this translation?
Okay awesome :)
Can you post the statements?
oops, forgot to add the statements: a) PM = P'M' is the only true statement. b) PP' = KK' is the only true statement. d) PP' is parallel to LL' and that statement is the only true one. d) All of the above statements are true.
Okay. Well, let's go down the choices
A) These two look like the same, so we'll keep it open B) PP' is not equal to KK' because P' is in the middle etc C) These aren't even close to parallel imo D) It can't be all of the above statements I would choose A personally
A was the right answer! :)
Awesome :)
