Hi, why aren't those enantiomers, but meso compounds?

when you draw a plane in the middle
you can see that the composition is same on both sides
thus this is a meso compound
draw same plane on the other compound and you will see that both sides of the plane will have same content

if you want to name the compound - by its specific name/ IUPAK name, then you'll have to take account of S and R
if its saying is it a meso compound or not, then you just mention it being meso or not
