OpenStudy (mimi_x3):

ok so if you notice there are 2 triangles I was thinking that we write 2 equations for each triangle and the write them in terms of b Then we set them to equal each other and solve for a

OpenStudy (mimi_x3):

Now since both triangles are right triangles we can write an equations based on the lengths of the triangles using Pythagorean theorem which is \[a^2+b^2=c^2\] where c is the hypotenuse which is basically the length/side which is exactly opposite the 90 degree angle

16 and 8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A is 16 and B is 8

OpenStudy (mimi_x3):

So lets begin with the outter most triangle|dw:1423667719373:dw|
