How do you write poetry? What is the best way to do so? Could you write anything? Is it like telling a story that rhymes? What are the different ones?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well it kinda comes from the heart u dont realy plan poetry

OpenStudy (anonymous):

eeeh i mean u can plan it depending on what youre writing about. Like if ur telling a story through poetry and its a long story then yea u want to plan it and it doesnt come naturally for everyone and even those who it does come naturally to go through stages of writers block where they have to force the thoughts out until they finally get something they like. Theyre are different types of poems. And theyre are different ways of going about free verse. Like for me i have to think of a theme when i do third person poetry but when i do second or first it normally just comes to me. We all have our own different methods. So it really depends on what u want to do as the writer. I would read some free verse poems to get a sense of what it is and then u form your own opinion and go from there

Also poetry is never truly bad. Yes it could use some fine tuning but poetry is about the writer and the connection to there peieces and no one else. so if u think its perfect its perfect. we all write for different reasons expression, a release, anything! so u need to figure out ur reason and chances are it will start flowing out like music

i hope this helps! if u have any questions at all i would love to help. Just remember to release yourself into the writings and youll never go wrong
