IT is not known whether it is infinite or finite because we cannot see all of it using modern day technology. What is believed is that it is still expanding so in technical terms it is infinite since it is still expanding at an alarming rate. It is not known whether that will go forever. Besides it would have to eventually stop. Yet again, another big bang may occur or such on smaller levels and space would grow so it is inifinte on a technical level. I do not believe in the big bang personally I am very religious.

i will put forward my point of view on this.. what is the argument on the number system bein finite or infinite? as long as you dont have a proper method to terminate a system.. it is considered infinite.. So for now, it is assumed to be infinite..
