Which personal pronoun correctly completes the sentence? What is its use? Because so many leaves had fallen, their parents helped __________ rake the yard. A. them; indirect object B. them; direct object I crossed out the other ones because it was "They"
@EclipsedStar @paki
I'd say A. them; indirect object
The indirect object identifies to or for whom or what the action of the verb is performed.
@Love_Ranaa That what i was thinking :) @pooja195 @texaschic101
Nope...Their parents helped whom? Answer that question and you will have your answer...
@PizzaLover123 BTW, I love the 7/11 picture ;)
@Tjbrew Them
Watch...I kicked the ball to Tom. I kicked what or whom = Direct object. To whom or to what = indirect object. So ball is direct object and Tom is the indirect object
@Love_Ranaa Thanks!Ilove your Nicki Minaj photo!:)
their parents helped them directly not indirectly...
@Tjbrew direct object a noun or pronoun that answers the question What? or Whom? after an action verb indirect object a noun or pronoun that answers the question To or for whom? or To or for what? after an action verb
"them" is receiving the action of "help" directly.
