There should be a search bar in order to find users. I think it would be easier to look them up in a search bar than to try and find them to see if they are online or not.

Why is there a need for this? You can just try to find users by http://openstudy.com/users/ and putting their username at the end to see if a user exists with that username, etc.

If you want a list of all the users then you'll get 25 million results. Not efficient. Not helpful.
