OpenStudy (bluepheonix):

how do you make a 3d project im a huge programer and I need to know how to do it or all I do will be considered retro gaming

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

You generally use a 3d engine because it is easier that making your own. There are several. Blender3d has a game development part. libGDX does 2d and 3d for cross platform stuff. Unity 3d, XNA, Torque, Unreal, ShiVa, Panda, Away, Elemen, Ogre, Irrlicht... do some research on those.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I guess unity is a place where you need to look at first .. https://www.udemy.com/unity-tutorial/

OpenStudy (bluepheonix):

you 2 are awsome thanx

OpenStudy (e.mccormick):

Unity looks very commercial. There are lots of open source options too. For example, libGDX does multi platform and is free. It uses Java as the programming language and a combination of Java and C++ for internals. Ogre3d is Open Source, multi-platform, and c/c++ based.
