Question

I've suggested this before, but I would like more feedback from people...A short video that pops up for new users on how to use the site. I remember when I first signed up and felt totally lost and confused. Also, there can be a mock tutorial on the video showing how to correctly help on a question, so the new users are aware not to give direct answers.

Also you know there is already a video for new users? If you look through @TheSmartOne 's tutorial he links it right after his own tutorial is done.

There are pop ups that give tutorial on how to use the website
but I guess most people turn them off...

No, there's nothing \(wrong\) with it...It's just that I didn't even know direct answers weren't allowed until I reached 50ss. Also, I'm good with links, but sometimes people are lazy to read links.... :/

Which is why we need more active users informing new users about the rules. Mor ambassadors to welcome these new users, etc.

I always liked the idea of a 2 to 3 page tutorial as part of the signup process. Make sure people know the proper way to use the site. Also helps slow down the trolls...

Well if you want to apply for ambi, one may not mind sending an id as proof. If a new user has to give an id as verification....well, I doubt people would like that.

Not like admins have the time to see 5 million ids. And be able tot ell if someone made a second account. And what if their accounts broke by a symbol? What if they forgot the password? What if...?
